Service Profile

A Useful Product Starts With a Clear Specification.

Tell us what the product needs to do, the quantity required and where it will be used. ECM helps clarify the specification and checks available manufacturing or supply capability before preparing a quotation.

Drawings, materials, dimensions and operating conditions help define a supply request. We agree how the item will be checked and what documentation is needed, with quantities and delivery arrangements confirmed for each quotation.

From Requirement to Quotation

  • Discuss product specifications and intended use
  • Confirm available manufacturing or supply capability
  • Request a quotation against an agreed specification
  • Coordinate products with related ECM services where appropriate

The final scope, approach and deliverables are agreed with you before work begins.

Manufacturing and Supply: Define the Whole Chain

On smaller screens, scroll across the diagram to read each step.

Five connected SIPOC bays identify Suppliers, Inputs, Process, Outputs and Customers. The process scope runs from an agreed need to handover. Category entries describe groups and do not require one-to-one item relationships. A separate supply-specific control rail shows agreement of specifications and acceptance criteria, then checking release evidence and acceptance. These additional checks are separate from the five SIPOC categories. The process may involve making or sourcing and does not specify who owns production facilities.

What We Do

Specification, Capability and Acceptance Checks.

Define the Intended Use

Explain where and how the product will be used. Drawings, dimensions, materials and operating conditions help distinguish essential requirements from preferences and avoid assumptions in the quotation.

Confirm the Supply Route

Review the requirement against current manufacturing or sourcing capability. The available route, quantities and constraints are confirmed for the specific request; a fixed product range is not assumed.

Agree Acceptance

Set out how the item will be checked, including relevant specifications and any sample or inspection requirements. Agree what evidence is needed before an item is accepted.

Coordinate With the Project

Connect the product request to delivery location, packaging needs and the installation or operating schedule. Related ECM service teams can be involved where the item forms part of a wider brief.

The Work Explained

Turning a Product Request Into an Agreed Supply Brief

Specification First

  1. Describe the Use

Provide the drawing, specification and required quantity.

  2. Confirm Capability

Check the available manufacturing or sourcing route.

  3. Agree the Checks

Define acceptance, documentation and any sample needs.

  4. Coordinate Delivery

Agree the quotation, location and delivery arrangements.

The specification is the reference for quotation and acceptance. Any proposed substitution needs to be agreed.
Potential Outputs

A Product Request With Fewer Unanswered Questions.

  • A clarified product specification and quantity schedule
  • A quotation based on confirmed capability and agreed requirements
  • Acceptance and delivery requirements recorded with the order scope

Outputs are selected to suit the engagement and confirmed in the agreed scope.
