Service Profile

From Site Requirements to Commissioning and Handover.

ECM supports electrical, industrial, building and civil work, from the initial requirement through installation and commissioning. The scope takes account of site conditions, maintenance needs and the information your operating team will need at handover.

We agree the technical requirements, interfaces and acceptance checks before delivery. Those requirements guide installation and commissioning, with records prepared for the people who will operate and maintain the asset.

Engineering Disciplines

  • Electrical installations, solar PV, standby power and UPS systems
  • Industrial automation, instrumentation, controls and commissioning
  • Commercial building, construction, civil works and infrastructure maintenance
  • Airfield ground lighting, power and control systems, subject to project requirements

The final scope, approach and deliverables are agreed with you before work begins.

Engineering: From Requirements to Operation

On smaller screens, scroll across the diagram to read each step.

An engineering Vee connects stakeholder needs, system requirements and detailed design to implementation. The ascending path proceeds through component verification, integration, system verification and validation in intended use. Gold dashed bridges pair detailed design with component verification, system requirements with system verification, and stakeholder needs with intended-use validation. Verification checks compliance with specified requirements; validation checks that the system meets stakeholder needs in its intended operating context. The diagram describes engineering activities, not completed project checks.

What We Do

Engineering Support Across the Project Life Cycle.

Electrical and Power Systems

Scope electrical installations, distribution, lighting and backup power. Solar PV, standby generation and UPS requirements are considered alongside the load, operating needs and existing infrastructure.

Industrial Systems and Controls

Support installation, troubleshooting and maintenance of industrial equipment and control systems. Instrumentation, motor controls and automation work are defined against the plant and process requirements.

Buildings and Civil Infrastructure

Coordinate building, refurbishment and civil work with the services the facility needs. Specifications, estimating, site interfaces and project supervision can be included in the agreed delivery scope.

Airfield Systems

Discuss airfield ground lighting, power and control requirements as a specialist project scope. Establish site interfaces, technical requirements and acceptance responsibilities before delivery is committed.

The Work Explained

An Engineering Asset From Brief to Operation

Whole-Life Thinking

  1. Define

Understand the site, operating duty and project constraints.

  2. Specify

Agree technical requirements, interfaces and acceptance checks.

  3. Deliver & Test

    Coordinate installation, inspection and commissioning.

  4. Operate & Maintain

Handover records and plan maintenance around the asset.

Commissioning checks the installation against agreed requirements before it becomes part of daily operations.
Potential Outputs

The Information Needed to Take an Asset Into Service.

  • An agreed technical brief, scope and interface requirements
  • Installation and commissioning records appropriate to the work
  • Handover information and maintenance recommendations

Outputs are selected to suit the engagement and confirmed in the agreed scope.
